As part of our ministry to children and youth, Evangel Church charters a Cub Scout Pack and Boy Scout Troop.
Cub Scout Pack 72 CubScouts is for boys in first grade through fifth grade—or 7 to 10 years old—. It's for the family, too. Cub Scouting means "doing." You have lots to do as a Cub Scout—crafts, games, sports, songs, stories, and puzzles, to name a few things. Much of the fun happens right in the den and pack. At den meetings and pack meetings, Cub Scouts do different things for fun and learning.
There is a reason for everything boys do in Cub Scouting. Apart from the fun and excitement, the aim of Cub Scouting is to help boys grow into good citizens who are strong in character and personally fit. This is why we say that Cub Scouting is fun with a purpose.
Our Pack meets from September through May every Thursday night (except the1st Thursday of the month) at 7:00pm. We meet at the Evangel gym. Boy Scout Troop 72 Boy Scouting is a year-round program for boys age 11 - 17. Boys who are 10 may join if they have received the Arrow of Light Award or have finished the fifth grade. Boy Scouting is a program of fun outdoor activities, peer group leadership opportunities, and a personal exploration of career, hobby and special interests, all designed to achieve the BSA's objectives of strengthening character, personal fitness and good citizenship.
