VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR THE FALL... Teens, college students, young adults, couples with children of all ages, empty nesters and grandparents are all welcome as volunteers in the Children’s Ministry at Evangel.  Volunteer Training is provided.    Impact their lives and be blessed in so many ways!  BIG BIG God for ages K4 - K5 - 13 Amazing weeks! Kid-tested!  Engage their senses! Bible stories come to life through interactive games, storytelling, exciting crafts and more. Bible Blitz is a fun way to get kids into the Bible and the Bible into the kids!  This fall for age’s 1st - 4th grades!    Grapple is the new pre-teen Bible study for Faith Factor 56 starting in the fall 2008. Praise Music, Activities, Food and separate Bible Studies for guys and girls!    They won't be able to resist the new www.MyGrapple.com... This gives them a whole new way to connect with friends, play computer games, vote on the next weeks activities and be Bible sleuths as they solve clues for the next weeks lessons and keeps them updated on events with in the ministry. EvangelKid’s Children’s Choir:  See It! Sing it! Books of the Bible for ages K4-4th plus lots of other great music during evangel children's choir time that meets on Wednesday nights during EvangelKid's.  Website updates coming soon with the scope and sequence of the lessons, volunteer opportunities and exciting news about “Slime Time” in October and an all new Christmas nativity.     Contact Stacy Rakestraw  Evangelchurchpca.org or 205-664-0889 x165    SonHarvest County Fair Overview:  was a great week of fun.  The children enjoyed a welcome the first day by a heard of real farm animals.  Baby chicks, baby cows, lambs, goats and even a baby buffalo! They participated in all kinds of cool crafts from paintng pots, windsocks, piggy banks and much more. We had a special gospel presentation by Jason Daggott of Shelby Crossing Church.  Byron Ketcham brought his beautiful Tennessee walking horses for the children to enjoy.    Linda Stockman did a great job choosing the mission theme as well as presenting it to the children.  Over $900 was raised to buy ox's, dairy animals and brood's of chick for needy families that Samaritan's Purse supports.  Go to their website to see gifts #37 and #38 for more details on the missions project. WOW!  Way to go boys and girls! Hope you all enjoyed the great snacks Karin Payne put together for you.  Everything from dirt cups to popcycles and even watermelon. YUM! We had 67 volunteers who did a FANTASTIC JOB.  THANK YOU ALL! . . . . . .   Faith Factor 56 EvangelKid's is a growing ministry of Evangel Church. We offer a variety of fellowship opportunities and Bible Studies throughout the year.   EvangelKid's Wednesday nights in the Fall and Spring is for children ages K4 - 4th and FF:56 activities for 5/6th grade.  Starts August 27, 2008 Vacation Bible School in June of each summer for completed K5 - completed 5th grade.  Sunday morning Children's Church for K4 - K5 during the late service. EvangelKid's Summer Bible Study.  Our Philosophy To help the children grow in their understanding of Christ's love for them so that one day they will come to the point of accepting Him into their hearts. For those who have already accepted Christ in their life, our desire is to disciple them in their relationship with Him. We want to disciple them with spiritual growth opportunities and challenge them to memorize Biblical truths in a safe, healthy Christian environment. CHILDREN'S CHURCH The Family Together In Worship Sunday mornings during the 10:45am worship, K4-K5 will be dismissed for Children's Church. The curriculum for the new year is Gospel Light's GOD'S BIG PICTURE! An exciting study that teaches children the wonderful way God has revealed Himself to us.
